Head of Arts at the National Glass Centre, Sunderland, Julia Stephenson will lead this walk and talk of the contemporary glass exhibition Loud and Clear.
The National Glass Centre at The University of Sunderland is dedicated to continuing the legacy of glass making, supporting and nurturing new glassmaking talent. They push the creative boundaries of glass making by collaborating with a wide variety of artists, organisations and communities locally, regionally, nationally and internationally and aim to build a community of practice around glass-making.
Their world class exhibitions programme presents work by leading glass and ceramics artists, focusing on the presentation of modern and contemporary work in glass and ceramics. The programme supports the creation of new art work exploring the potential of glass and maintaining Sunderland’s historic reputation as a world leader in the development and production of glass.
