Visitors will be able to explore parts of Welbeck Village that are not usually open to the public and enjoy the splendid historic architecture built by the 5th Duke of Portland in the late 1800’s.
There’ll be lots to do in the Village over the weekend, from artists demonstrations to tractor and trailer rides to talks. Pick up a copy of the Welbeck Village Open Weekend souvenir guide (available throughout the event, £3) for a full programme of events, history of Welbeck Village and a handy map to help you find your way around.
The Harley Studios will be open for the weekend as part of Open Studios Nottinghamshire. Visit the artists’ workspaces, watch demonstrations and chat with the makers. Designer Jason Taylor will also be demonstrating in the Harley Courtyard over the weekend, to accompany the opening of his exhibition Everyday Objects. You can also join Jason at 10.30am on Saturday and Sunday for a tour of the exhibition.
For full information on this event, please visit the Welbeck website.
*Please note that Welbeck Abbey will NOT be open as part of the Welbeck Village Open Weekend. If you’re interested in visiting Welbeck Abbey, book onto the Portland Collection State Room Tours.
