Hilary Bower’s textiles reflect her personal journeys and travels, both physical and emotional; her associations with people and interest in craftsmanship and hand skills.
Her work has increasingly focussed on the incidental, ordinary and seemingly insignificant and recent works look in greater depth at these elements through the exploration of materials, scale and the process of making.
Hilary offers workshops and individual mentoring in her studio. She is also happy to discuss and arrange other sessions, days and times with individuals and groups.
Hilary’s exhibition Of Quiet Observation was shown at the Harley Gallery in 2007.
