Seven large studio spaces developed within the walls of the Kitchen Garden. Built 1980
East Workshops
Designed by John Outram and built on the site of the old Pineapple Pits, the studio spaces are suitable for group workshops and those using larger pieces of machinery and plant. Built 2000
The Harley Foundation is run by a Board of Trustees and Special Advisors.
Applications for studio spaces are considered throughout the year.

COSTS

Studios are offered to artists and craftspeople on a licence agreement. The costs are subsidised and include payment of business rates and water charges.
West Workshop cost from £100 per month
Tan Gallop Studios cost from £140 per month
East Workshops cost from 230 per month
For those artists wanting to set up a studio for the first time we operate a “Seedbed Licence Scheme”. This offers artists the opportunity to have their monthly license fee phased in over a three-year period.
1st 6 months - no fee
2nd 6 months - 20% per month
3rd 6 months - 40%
4th 6 months - 60%
5th 6 months - 80%
6th 6 months - 90%
thereafter - full licence fee
