Visit us

There’s lots to see, make and do at The Harley Foundation. Plan your visit to our free entry museum and gallery, and find out what else is happening…

Harley Gallery

Art exhibitions at The Harley Gallery show work from leading contemporary artists and makers, which change regularly. The Gallery is also home to The Harley Shop, specialising in contemporary craft, and daily free kids’ activities in The Creative Space.

Harley Museum

Home to The Portland Collection of art, which was created by the Dukes of Portland and their families over 400 years. With rare treasures and world-class art, including Michelangelo’s ‘Madonna del Silenzio’, Van Dyck’s tender portrait of Charles II as a boy, and the earring worn by Charles I at his execution.

Open Tuesday – Sunday (closed Mondays).

POTTERY STUDIO

The Harley Pottery Studio is a welcoming place that everyone can visit and practice pottery making. You can find it at the heart of the Foundation’s artist studios.

Whether you’re a beginner looking for an evening class with likeminded people, or you are an experienced potter who needs a pay-as-you-go studio space, our timetable will have something for you.

WALKS

Take our countryside Art Trail to nearby Creswell Crags. Follow the sculptures to explore art through the ages – from contemporary art to ice-age cave art.

Plus you can extend your walk with one of the many public footpaths which crisscross the Welbeck estate.
