Kitchen Garden Tour
Hidden Harley Tour
The Fruit Arcade, Welbeck.
As part of our 25th anniversary celebrations, explore the history behind the site of the Harley Artist Studios on an exclusive behind the scenes tour.
During this 1 hour guided tour, you will delve into Welbeck’s past and discover the stories behind the 5th Duke of Portland’s Kitchen Garden.
Welbeck’s Kitchen Garden was built in 1860 and was one of the largest in Britain. It was fitted out with all the latest horticultural devices, glasshouses, heating systems, water supplies and so on. The garden produced vast quantities of vegetables and fruit throughout the year (even bananas) for the Duke, his family, and his staff living and working on the Welbeck estate.
