Trips for schools are a key focus of our Learning programme.
We offer a wide range of activities to support teaching art in primary school and welcome visits from secondary school groups.
Our activities and resources combine understanding and making skills, which support learning across the curriculum.
Students might visit an exhibition, walk the Art Trail, or see an artist at work in their studio. Making activities take place in our specialist Education Studio, which is next door to our professional studios in the Victorian Kitchen Garden.
Can’t make it to the Harley Foundation? Check our Creative Activities page for downloadable resources to use in the classroom. If you’d like more support, we can bring a session to you. Ask the Learning team about in-school activities and special projects.
GROUP VISITS
If you are looking for ideas for trips for schools, we offer a range of options to inspire your students.
Each term, we have a choice of the 3 different workshops for Primary Schools, and 1 workshop for Secondary Schools. Please find details of our current workshops below.
Alternatively, we can also develop a visit especially for your group – whether primary, secondary HE or FE level. This could include exhibition tours, workshops, sessions with our Studio Artists or a focus on a particular artwork. Tailor-made school trips are charged, and subject to availability.
Contact us by emailing education@harleyfoundation.org.uk to discuss your requirements.
